Hi All.
I am trying to cut and paste into the terminal window while working with the MD110 and I can't do it.
I've tried different terminal emulators as well as Winfiol
and nothing works. It works on other systems that I work on such as Nortel & Avaya, so it looks like it has something to do with a connection type to an MD110.
Any ideas.
Thanks
Yury

hi

you can type up what you want to send as a text file and save as .cmd, then use <F2> in Winfiol and run it in as a script file.

I never had a problem with “copy & paste”.
Used C&P You can copy only one line command and paste it to buffer or TTY window.

If You want send more lines:

Open command window / from menu File->New
and now You can use C&P. After transfer all C&P parts of commands you can send
line by line ( set cursor on the begin of the line) and press F4
mark part of commands lines (like as in widows; shift + arrow or left button with a mouse) and press F4
or mark all (Ctrl+A) and press F4

or if You have text file
Open command window / from menu File->Open file
Now you can send commands as above

Or if it is a text type file ready to sent to MD
from menu Run->Transmit file
or as parnum wrote

NOTE
I’m very often use MS Excel to prepare script but not use tab as column separator when save as text file

Hi ya,

sorry i don;t get on here v often but i find the best way is to set up file in excel.... no need to save it just copy the lines required. Then in winfiol open the command page (blank page icon button) and paste into there. Then simply select the whole lot and click the send lines button (page of lines with satellite dish icon button)

Winfiol can be set up to either ignore lines that don't work or to stop when there's an error. I've run in files with up to 10,000 lines before now.... and there's no way i'm pressing F4 that many times!
