As the number of Linux servers expand our customers are asking for an automated way update software from a central location. We see "EDM" often, but it costs hundred$ of thou$and$ to million$$$ to even accomplish small tasks.

We currently write updates using some extensive Bash Shell Scripts. While this is fun, it starts to show the weakness of scripting after 75 servers or so in one update. Each server does need some kind of a local profile.

So the real question, how do I distrubite my updates to my customers in a automated way??

I have recieved some really good advice here and enjoy the open forum.

Thanks
