On an option 11c, I want to test something out, and to do so I need to change my TKTP from DID to TIE. Is there an easy way to do this?

There are 46 trunk members that I am trying to swap over for this rout

REQ: ltm
CUST 0
ROUT 11

TYPE TLST
TKTP DID
ROUT 11
DES TEST
TN 005 01 MBER 1 TEST SPAN 1
....
TN 006 23 MBER 46 TEST SPAN 2

Thanx

You will need to build a new route and then change your trunk types to be a part of that route. You can do this quickly by using the OUT 23 and start your TN on 5 1, then again on 6 1. Then you can do a NEW 23 with the new type. Does not take more than about 30 seconds to build all 23 channels.

Hope this helps,

I never tried this, but couldn't you out 1 trunk and creat a new route with the 1 you outed for testing?

that's the fastest way, i don't out the route for a test, build a new did route them out the trunks and put them back in.. for a test i usually move a few trunks, not all of them.. depends on the routing

I agree, although I am not sure how the D-Channel is going to function with multiple trunk types on one span. It may not care, I have just never mixed those before.

I have done the out and rebuild many times on DSS-type of T1's, just never PRI. Sometimes ignorance is bliss, other times it can bite you in the backside.
