Is there a way to tune how def vol formatsize=102400

I am creating 5 100GB volumes and i have noticed that it is much better to create them serially compared to in parrallel which is the default unless you specify wait=yes.

Is there some tuning that can be done to speed up or make more efficient the creation of these volumes?

It's very difficult to say how to tune, it depends on your disk hardware configuration and raid stuff.

If, when trying sequential access you are using the same hard disk head for 5 volumes.. that's very bad. If each volume has its each physical disk, it's should be faster.

Just a little question... why 100 Gb for a volume..? Its recomends to have to have smaller size for best performances.
