I have an app that needs to grab an external time and change the local system clock to synchronize. Is this possible in C#?

When you have spent all day trying to work through a problem, it is best to take a step back, reevaluate the problem, then work on the next project and never let the old one show its ugly face again!!

If you go to the US Naval Observatory site, they have links to several time-setting programs.

Be aware that the NTP (Network Time Protocol) has several layers of time servers. The Naval Observatory and the National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) are Strata-1, or authoritive time servers. They will not allow a end-user to connect to them. Universities and major corporations run Strata-2 servers. You'll need to find a Strata-3 or 4 server to sync with (your ISP is usually one).
