Hi All,

I have been trying to reapply SP1 on a couple of Windows 7 Pro boxes and get the message that Service Pack 1 is already installed. The machines came with SP1 installed and after some major issues with the OS, I just want to reinstall SP1. Has anyone done this?

Thanks in advance

Have you checked to make sure SP1 is still installed and/or have you tried to uninstall it?

What recovery options come with these machines? As SP1 is part of your install of Windows you have no other options other than a complete reinstall of Windows in order to reinstall SP1.

Linney knows infinitely more about these issues than I do, but before you bend over too far backwards why not check in the program option on the Control Panel to see if SP1 is installed separately. If so, it can be removed. If not, do what Linney says.
