I have a situation where I was given a task to migrate GroupWise 5.5 to Exchange 2003. The systems are already built and in place. Also, the Exchange is riding on a Microsoft Active/Passive cluster. I attempted to start by installing Gateway services for Netware, and found out that Microsoft has dropped that service from Windows 2003.
Is there any way to accomplish this task without rolling everything back to Windows 2000.
I'd like to thank anyone who replies in advance. Whatever you provide will be greatly appreciated

Hi!

Well, we did a total migration from Groupwise 5.5 to Exchange 2003 (250 users)... which was a hell. Since we didn't have money for any migration tools. Except for the one found in Exchange. In some cases when we imported the new account, some email/attachment didn't wanted to be transfered. And when it comes to adressbooks... Don't get me started... I exported them to .vcf . I had to divide every .vcf file to a lot of file containing only one adress, to have them imported in Outlook 2003 for every account. And basicly had to confirm every entry with a mouse click. (well I found out later that you could use keyboard combination).

Sorry I this sounds a lite bit fuzzy... But this is therapy to me ;-) Telling my hell story.

Well... after 3 month on the new system I can say that I'm happy that I did this, though. Everything run great and people are happy. But looking back... uuuuusch.

Well... fell free to ask anything you'd like. I guess my reply didn't enlight you this time.

I am looking for information about configuring the connectors as Microsoft has dropped support for Novell from this release.

Hehehe.. sorry... Got a flashback back there... I guess I didn't read your post in detail..

I tried using that connector with no luck. That's why I did the whole migration process in one step basicly. I guess I can't help you there. :-(

Good luck then!

Hello,
I think I found a free way to export the address books for everyone but I am concerned with being able to export the sent items and the archived data (is archived data on their local pc? - the user)

Anyway... I can get the inbox data via pop3 from Outlook to the smtp port on Groupwise...

But what about the other stuff? Thoughts???

This thread appears to be right on target with my plans to migrate from Groupwise 6 to Exchange 2003...

I am going to be doing a migration from groupwise 5.5 to exchange 2003 SBS in a few days. Do I have to create the user accounts in AD on the 2003 server before the migration or will they get created during the goupwise migration?

Can you direct me to any links or sites?
