We run a call center where our agents typically call our customers back and instead of showing their direct number, I would like to mask the call center DN's with our main 800 number.
You would need to build a CLID table in LD 15, and assign it a table number. By default, the switch defaults to CLID table 0, so do not use table 0. If you use the default, then ALL extensions on your switch will be sending out whatever number you put in table 0. You can print your existing CLID table in LD 21:
LD 21
REQ: prt
TYPE: CLID (cr)
for new table entry:
LD 15
REQ: chg
TYPE: net (hit return until CLID, then type YES)
SIZE: (cr)
INTL: (cr)
ENTRY: (then type your new CLID table information).
example:
ENTRY 3 (your new table entry)
HNTN 410 (your area code)
ESA_HLCL (ESA is for 911 setup)
ESA_INHN NO
ESA_APDN YES
HLCL 3635000 (this is the local CLID number you want going out)
DIDN NO (or YES.. depends. NO defaults to the digits in HLCL)
HLOC (your home location.. ours is default blank)
LSC(cr)
CLASS_FMT DN (cr)
Once you build a table, you then have to go to each DN on each set and add the table number after the DN ...ours is set up like this:
KEY 00 SCR 5533 3 (the 3 tells the switch to reference CLID table 3)
KEY 01 SCR 6533 3
In most cases nowdays the co will not pass a clid that fails screening. ( all the did numbers you own are in this table) If the 800# is added to the table it can be passed. If a invalid clid is sent, the co will send the trunk grop billing number. This may be your main number, maybe not. When PRI trks started around 1990 they would pass whatever you sent, resulting in alot of wrong or another's numbers being delivered.
