Hi, I am trying to set security on an Access database based upon the users' NT group (Sales, Production, Finance etc.)
But I would like to use the NT defined groups, as administration would become a nightmare.
Thanks.

Hi,

I made my database this way (perhaps it's not your target):
- Categorize the users. Make user's groups.
- Split the database tables according to the user's permissons, and set the permisson for the database files or folders (change, read-only, no access).
- Add to the all modifiable tables 4 field: "Created" (record creation date), "Created by" (username), "Modified", "Modified by" (as the ORACLE tables :). Modify the database client to fill out these fields automatically (when the event occures).
- Save the database client as .MDE (for users).

(sorry for my English)
