I was wondering if there was a way to use DBEdit to insert data without using the DBNavigator component. This end-user will be confused with all these components that comes with DBNavigator. However, I haven't found a way to edit the data in a DBEdit box, without the DBNavigator control. Any insights, please don't hesitate. Thanks! =)

I use the DBNavigator but I usually go into object properties and turn off all of the buttons except add and edit.

Thanks for the input. That sounds like a good idea. Is there a tutorial on it or a snippet of code you could reference? The reason why I want to use DBNavigator is os I don't have to assign variables to each database name for developer reading purposes. But, DBEdit can directly manipulate data, which is what I like. The simpler, the better, IMO. :)

i never use the dbnavigator.

i like to use by own buttons linked to dbActions.

you can also do it via code.

dataset.next, dataset.last, dataset.edit, dataset.post ......
