Hi, is there a way to disactivate menus for AutoCad? I want to install AutoCad for someone, just so they can look at a drawing instead of modifying it !! I know there is the "Volo View" program they can use, but I would like to do it with AutoCad... please help. Thank you

You can alter the menu files for AutoCAD or you can turn everything off. Just remember, someone who knows AutoCAD can reactivate items from the command line.

Do you know which specific menu file I would have to modify ??

would you happen to know exacctly which menu file I would have to alter in order to get my results? thank you

As a joke I modified our Lead's MNS menu file; this was all that was in it:

//
// AutoCAD menu file -
//

***MENUGROUP=ALY

***POP1
**File
ID_File [&File]
ID_Open [&Open... Ctrl+O]^C^C_open
[--]
ID_Print [&Print... Ctrl+P]^C^C_plot
[--]
ID_Quit [&Quit]^C^C_quit

***POP2
**MnView
ID_MnView [&View]
ID_Zoom [&Zoom]'_zoom ;
[--]
ID_MnPan [&Pan]'_pan

//
// End of AutoCAD menu file
//
