Hi,

Is there a way to copy multiple files from one router to another?

I have more than 100 files that I need to copy to another identical model router, I used tftp (copy flash:CiscoLogo.gif tftp://192.168.1.2) and then recopy from tftp server to a router, or copy from and to an usbflash0: (copy flash:CiscoLogo.gif usbflash0:) to copy files but it only allows to copy one file at a time, by the time i copy to 70something files, I got confused not to mention time consuming.

Anyone one has any pointer that I can copy multiple files, I appreciated.

Thanks for your time.

K

Maybe you can explain what you are trying to do , there isn't more than 5 files on a whole router . Hard to image what you are trying to do .

Hello
I know that Cisco switch support ".tar" files.Maybe the routers as well.If you are trying to copy the SDM,it would be easier to get another copy.
Regards

If you need the .tar then download a new copy using the "archive download" option which automatically expands out all files in the .tar file into the correct dirrectories .

Hi,

The archive tar command works great! Thanks,

arch tar ?
/table List files in tar file
/xtract Extract files in tar file

I am running ccme for voip phones on my router, for mass rapid deployment,it it faster if I simply copy and change some parameters to its needs.

Yes there is dorothy. You can create the following
I actually used excel

column 1: copy flash:
colume 2: filename
column 3: tftp://10.11.89.105
column 4: filename

I had a 100 files and didn't feel like typying out copy 100 times. I then pasted this into word and used replace command to get rid of spaces and tabs. I added two line breaks after each command so accept the router prompts for confirmation. I then pasted and had a 100 files in 10 minutes. Good luck. Email ronaldbeacom@yahoo.ca if you have quetsions

copy flash:logohome.gif tftp://10.11.89.105/logohome.gif

copy flash:normal_user.html tftp://10.11.89.105/normal_user.html

copy flash:normal_user.js tftp://10.11.89.105/normal_user.js

copy flash:plus.gif tftp://10.11.89.105/plus.gif
