One of our users called today and asked if we could clear out all of their vmail messages. Other than deleting and recreating their mailbox, I don't know of another way to do this (besides loging into their vmail and doing it manually message by message). Is there some way to do this as an admin?

No there is not, you are correct in the only two ways to clear them out. On the full blown CallPilot with Desktop messaging they can delete about 40 at a time using an HTML client but I don't believe one is available for the BCM CallPilot.

Thanks dj4020 for the response. It confirms what I suspected.

Hey Joe was looking into this a little more there is an application that you can download called Unified Messaging as cook refers to. But it has to be setup with an e-mail client to use from just looking at notes. I also don't know if you need licencing for this or not. but you could look into it. We don't use voice mail on our BCM's here, in stores policy is a live person must answer phone no V-mail.

Yes, Unified Messaging is a licensed application. It wouldn't work in your case anyway as it would have to be in place prior to the messages being received for them to appear in the e-mail inbox. If they already have it, you're golden.

Unified messaging would work for you. You can also get a try and buy for it which will last for 60 days at no cost. When you load it onto the PC and outlook it will download the messages from the mailbox and as you delete them it will delete them from the system

If you know how to access the Call Pilot via FTP to the IMAP port (143) you could delete all the messages. But you will need at least 1 UM seat (try-n-buy maybe) and you'll need to know all the commands. I did a lot of research on this a couple of years ago and found it very difficult to find all the IMAP commands to accomplish my goal.
