I can't get my CMOS to come up during boot-up? I've tried f4 and f5 and evn del over and over.....nothing seeems to work?

Have you tried F1 (Function key F1). Some bioses use F1. "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing....." [morning]

or [F10]. or [CTRL]+[ALT]+]ESC] or [F2] or [CTRL]+numerickeypad [+].

Some BIOSes use F2.

The BIOS can only be accessed during the POST [Power On Self Test] process.

I finally got into the CMOS and disabled the modem and infra-red adapter. Now, my actual serial port on the back of the computer is listed as com3 and I can't get it to switch to com1 (which is what my software needs it to be).

COuld someone explain how to switch the com ports?

Thanks,
