Is there a way that I can quickly destroy hundreds of old tapes in my company? The boss requires the tapes must be totally destroyed for security reason, and in a 'green' manner (no harm to environment).

I would greatly appreciate any advices and/or suggestions.

Destroy as in recycle them or destroy as in clear all contents off of them? If you are wanting to clear all the contents off of them, you can purchase a bulk eraser which is a big magnet that you plug into the wall and press it against the tape for a minute. You can find a degauser here:
