Good Morning,

In Assistant is there a way to copy and paste or, export the contents from the Object List menu? Example, I run a Station/Search Criteria and enter nothing and then I click on Search at the bottom. Next I click Object List at the top of page and I can see everything I need to see. At the top of the page I click Object then Print Report… and all I get is a Print Report popup from which my only options are to Print, Cancel, or Help. When I click on Help I see that apparently something is missing for my setup, a reporting app/plugin maybe? Is this something extra that maybe was not purchased?

In the Help document it states the following:

Printing reports
1. Go to the Object menu and select Print Report...
2. The Run Report dialog with the Output tab is displayed

However when I do this, only the popup seen below is displayed…

Good Morning Again,

So I found this as I was looking around in Assistant. Question, is there a license required to install the Report Generator?

I have never found a way to do eaxtly what you are asking, but you can use REGEN-SBCSU; and REGEN-SCSU; in comwin to get a listing of basic config for all stations. Just make sure you set your line buffer really high in comwin. Then you can copy and paste the results into something like notepad. (You can also do STA-REGEN to create a backup of everything on the system, but you need advanced comwin skills to login to the system and copy the file it generates to your PC's hard disk).

There is also the rporting tool that you can activate under application mnager in Assistant that can do a variety of canned reports for the system, and there is the import export tool for the database that would also need to be turned on in application management. Note the cautions for application management and only try to activate one application at a time. Don't turn on anything you don't specifically need, and turn of things you don't, because the number of running applications will affect system performance.

In the ideal fantasy would we would be able to highlight everything on that object list, copy and paste it into a spreadsheet, but that does not fall in line with the wonderful German engineering process!

Try using the Import Export API tool.

It's a good way of getting information from the 4K
