I was wondering if there is a maximum call recording time using voicemail pro.

I know that there is a maximum recording time in the voice pro client, but does that refer to normal mailbox recordings or everything?

1 hour or buy a contact store license.

honey, i fried the IP Office !!!

Yes. The recording is made by VM Pro and after the recording the recorded .wav file is moved by VM Pro to the VRL directory.
Contactstore scans this directory on a timed basis and if there is a file it will compress it to G723 format, copy the file into the database and erase the original .wav file.

looks like the customer has to stick with Oak call recording.

the VM pro will record longer than an hr it will split the files into 1 hr files though. I thought i saw in another thread on how to fix it in the registry to record longer also.

The Vm pro should record longer than 1 hours by using regedit:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Network Alchemy\Voicemail\
Directories\ MaxRecordTime

If I remember correctly the real max recording time is 7200 secs (2 hours)

gonna test that tomorrow. seems dumb there is a max time limit. to me, if the resources are there then the recording should continue.

star for the reg entry though.

Get well soon Aaron.

As you said if there is enough hard disk space there should be no reason why you cant record for longer than 1 hour.
They will be using contact store too.

Could be a deal clincher.

Will it shoot that recorded VM to email. Just had a customer record a 52 min call but it did not go to email. Pretty big .wav file.

1Mb per minute so do the math :)
