Hello,

I'm trying to get a VBA subroutine of mine to fire off when the user logs into Great Plains. Is there some sort of Autoexec macro (like Access has) or a way to get GP to fire off my code when the user logs on?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Jason

There is no specific startup event available from VBA. From Dexterity there are a number of trigger points.

However, from your other posts I can tell you that once GP is running it is too late to try and update the dictionaries.

Thank you for your replies on both websites. This has turned out to be one of those times when I should have kept an idea to myself instead of telling my boss; now I can't get out of it. Anyways, thanks again for your help, it is
greatly appreciated.

create an executable of your application and place it in the user's Startup folder in their shortcuts. When they log in, anything that's in there will execute. I put outlook and autocad and crystal reports in there so that when I log in the morning GP automatically starts the other 2 applications that I use all the time

and they wonder why they call it Great Pains!
