Is there a "preview" mode in IL?

HI, in Indesign, I can press "w" and everything (guides, margins) disappear showing me how the final piece will look.

Such a thing in Illustrator where only what's on the artboard show, making everything else disappear?

Thanks. I looked under view but can't seem to nail it.

...no, unfortunately that feature is indesign only...

Thank you. Now I am really disappointed. How is someone to view or crop to the page?

...one manual solution often used is to position white filled box that extends the artboard, then with a box the same size as artboard above it, pathfinder a hole in it (minus front) , position this on it's own layer at the very top stacking order, turn on and off when needed...
