Is there a PC data throughput diagram - from drives, RAM, etc?

I'll be teaching a class and it would be nice to have a pre-made diag. with ranges of throughput from internal CPU, on board internal RAM, standard memory RAM; drives - SSDs, SATA, eSata, IDE, EIDE, CD & DVD drives, Blu Ray drives, thumb drives, modems, cable & DSL modems.

Also 10GB, 1GB, 100MB, 10MB - wired lans and wireless lans - 802.11n, g, a, etc., Bluetooth, floppy drives - 3.5in 1.44MB & 5.25.

Then HDMI, RGB video, other audio & video too.

Then printers, scanners on wired Ethernet lans - (same as above speeds), USB 2.0, 802.11 versions, parallel,

Last - Infrared speeds - PDA's, laptop to laptop.

Anything else. Thanks. Dave

It's based upon the specific motherboard, and typically mainly, if not totally, based on the particular chipset. I know you can find all sorts of charts online showing the data flow for many of the newer chipsets - Intel, and probably AMD as well. I don't remember for sure. But what you want to look for is a chipset flow....

What you want to look for is chipset diagram:

That should give you more than you'll ever use. [smile]
