I have a specific machine (a digital video processor/server) on my LAN that cannot be accessed remotely becuase it requires a static ip (no problem), but also will not function with NAT.

Is there a dhcp client router that doesn't use NAT? Or is that a contradiction in terms? I'm pretty new to this field and my router experience is limited.

I'm postive it's a NAT issue as i can view the video feeds on the LAN side, and the manufacturer specifically states NAT is not supported. They also state that even behind a router it should have it's own internet ip. They say it probably won't work, but i'd like to try anyway.

What your looking for is a contradiction of terms. But most (if not all) routers have a DMZ where the computer assigned as DMZ will be fully open to the internet that might work for your application. I'm not sure why NAT wouldn't work though, with the right configuration -after all, when traveling along the internet the video feed will pass through several routers to different network segments.
