In the department in which I work, we've all been issued with new job descriptions. One of the items that is being written into my specification as "desirable" is a certification in MS Access database design and development.

I've not yet been able to find anything that fulfills this requirement, looking at the MS website (for example, MS Office or MS Access development MCP). Is anybody here aware of any suitable qualifications that fulfill this requirement, whether Microsoft sponsored or not?

John

There is a Microsoft Office Specialist cert where one of the MCPs is an Access based exam. Have a look for the Microsoft Office Specialist exam.

I've had a quick look at those. There doesn't seem to be anything about tables, normalisation, referential integrity, setting appropriate and consistent control names and writing / debugging VBA code to any depth.

Looks good dyarwood, but it doesn't train up for a particular exam - which is the way my new job description has been written.

I'm looking for a Microsoft exam plus associated training material that covers VBA programming with MS Access, as this is the only way this criteria will be satisfied on the form.
