I Need to set up an email system with these properties:
(1) users are not in one location together. Example user1 may be at his home, user2 at her home and user3 working in an office but also needing to access this mail from home.
(2) they need to be able to send from the same adddress and receive mail at the same address.
(3) they should be able to do a mass mailing to up to 600 email addresses from time to time.

Therefore all these users could read the mailbox and any one of them could send mail from the mailbox including the potential mass email mentioned above.

Ideally they could manage the email addressee database in this system as well, recording at least the user first and last name, an email address, and possibly other personal info such as street address.

What likely form would this kind of email system have to take? Web-Based? All users dialing or high speed connection to one ISP getting one email address?

Thanks for any ideas.

If you have a server, use IMAP, or OWA if Exchange.
If it is a POP3 server only, set the accounts to leave a copy on the server for a few days.
The POP3 option has 1 drawback, users cannot see SENT mail from eachother.
