is there a mail client to read mbox 1

i have read my email by :
$mail

when i quit with the :
&q
the email that i have read is stored in:
/home/~/mbox

but those email are no more readable by the commande
$mail

Can some body help me how to read the mails stored in mailbox (without vi !!!)

You can use 'pine' (console) -->

http://www.washington.edu/pine/

or balsa (gui) -->

http://balsa.gnome.org/

pine is probably already on your system.
