So if I wanted to use a non-standard font in an HTML page, is there a way to automatically install the font to users' PCs that do not currently have it?

While it might be possible with IE, I don't think that there is generic support across all browsers for this.

Given that each O/S has different font technologies, you'd have to provide many fonts.

Personally, if the font is that important (corporate logo, etc), consider using an image (using text with CSS providing the image), but otherwise, use CSS to specify the fonts to fall back on.

Hope this helps,
Dan
