Is there a free reader available?

Hi I'm new to all this. I was just wondering if theres anywhere you can get a free reader for quark xpress?

I've just found some old media coursework of mine that I used quark to produce and was wondering if there was any way to open the files without paying hundreds to buy quark as I'm quite intrigued to have another look at the work.

I'm pretty useless with anything that doesnt have instructions so any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

Depending on the version of Q that you used, you might try downloading the trial version of Adobe Indesign. It might open them and then you can save as pdf from that. If you do this, make surte to use the Open command from File menu in Indesign

I'm not sure, but I think that the trial version of Quark does not allow saves. Don't know if it allows pdf export.
