Hi,

is there any way to view the data from a Crystal Report without having to have Crystal itself loaded on the machine? I have some report data that I want to send to someone without changing the format too much but they don't have Crystal. Any ideas?

There are several ways to view a crystal report without actually having the crystal reports software installed. It depends on how you want to go about it. There is a crystal viewer, "free", from Crystal Decisions (now Business Objects). You would have to search their website for it. The other options are to export the report to a desired format, they are many of them (excel, txt, rtf, etc..)

Go to File Print - Export - Click on the drop down arrow on the second box. You will see a list of options.

There is a very simple way to implement the report viewer and it is free... but you have to have Crystal Reports Professional to get the RDC.

Export it to PDF, by far the simplest solution.
