hi All

I've written a small utility which opens and reads files in a specified directory and stores the info in a DB. This utiliy runs fine under Win2000 but now loaded on citrix Metaframe it fails when it tries to Open the file.

We've tried it as Administrator but no joy. I'm just wondering if there is some sort of service which should be running that isn't.

hope someone can help.

Use Filemon as a first step - maybe the path it's searching isn't the one you expect it to be searching.

On the subject of paths, try putting the location of the DB file into the system path.

I hope this helps

I'm sorry but I'm no expert with Citrix, could you tell me what Filemon is and where I find/run it ?

My bad - Filemon isn't a Citrix application, it's a 3rd-party tool available from
One tip, though, never run Filemon on a busy server - it tracks each and every instance of file access.

I hope this helps
