i really want to learn javascript, but i'm having a bit of trouble with the tutorials and stuff(i don't think they're very complete)....... is there an official javascript documentation(just like the php manual ).......
the closest thing i found to an official javascript documentation is this: but that seems awfully old.... i know netscape invented javascript, but i can't find an official documentation over at their site..... can any of u help me?

The book which can stand the time test for all levels of skill:
[tt] David Flanagan, JavaScript-The Definitive Guide, 4th Ed. 2002 O'Reilly.[/tt]

I got a LOT out of the Flanigan book. I also did occasional searches online for code snippets, although for a lot of my projects, I stopped finding helpful code snippets, 'cause not a lot of people were doing what I was trying to do with JavaScript. Besides, after a hile, I ended up with my OWN JavaScript code snippet library:

And of course, Tek-Tips. I learned a tremendous amount from browsing the questions and answers at Tek-Tips.
