Can anyone recommend software that kinda looks and feels like Sidekick where I can transfer this data before it dies?

Unfortunately, I have built my household calendar and phone book over the years in Sidekick and have become really dependent on it. It was a great friend indeed...

Dear Marty,

What version of Sidekick are you using?
As I feel Sidekick98 still has a good bit of life left in it.
Problems with the Calendar can put you off but if you follow the instructions in FAQ1 you could keep going for a while.
As to a replacement, I haven't seen any that would leap out as small in regard to File size or as complete with regard to the Cardfiles/Reports/ Write/Calendar/ ToDo's/Appointments together with the ability to merge cardfiles & Fax or Email a Document from within the program and phone a Contact except The big office Suites!!!
If you or anyone finds one Please let me Know
Regards Jim

I, too, have been a long-time Sidekick user (back to 1994). However, with Starfish giving up with this handy PIM and still few bugs in the latest update to SKW98 (enter date for goals and to-do's not showing correctly, looks like a Y2k bug), I have started to look around for a replacement.
First, I have tried Time&Chaos, but no success; it just did not do what I wanted it to do. Second was Lotus Organizer, same story here.
Currently, I am playing around with ACT!2000. So far, things look rather promising, even though some things don't work as simple as in SKW98. But overall, it seems to do all the important things I need. I am heavily thinking about switching (probably would do so if changing jobs).
