Is there a System management interface tty tool in Sun ?
im a new user to it!

sorry baderoor - no such animal. You'll find that sun is quite different from aix - with aix being the more proprietary. I don't normally use the x-windows interface on a sun box (file manager, etc) but that would be the closest thing although it's more like windows than aix/smitty. smitty is really a command/script builder interface. if you step through all the choices in smitty to get to where you are going to actually do some work, then press pf 6 (i think) you'll see the command/script that has been generated by all your choices. On a sun box there are different commands and different ways to get to the same information but there's no tool to automate it.
patn
Patrick Novak
pat.novak@po.state.ct.us

Patn is right, there is nothing with that functionality in Solaris. admintool is as close as it gets, but it is very, very basic.

on sun you could use admintool

issued admintool &

to lauched admintool
