I will give this forum a try but thisis pretty mus=ch an SAV for Exchange question.
Daily I have the following entry in the W2K eventlog:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Norton AntiVirus
Event Category: None
Event ID: 5
Date: 4/28/2004
Time: 6:00:19 AM
User: N/A
Computer:
Description:
Virus Found!Virus name: W32.Netsky.Z@mm in File: C:\Program Files\Microsoft BackOffice\Connectivity\POP3 Connector\InForward\MSG04282004-060019-519.MMD by: Realtime Protection scan. Action: Delete succeeded : Access denied
There are between 4 and 5 of these a day with different message ID's and different editions of the Netski virm. It is always in the InForward folder OR The Incoming folder. I SUSPECT these are being caught as they attempt to get into the company but I want to be sure that it is not the virm trying to propagate itself from inside and then being caught.
Anybody know for sure? I am 95% sure it isn't inside but I just want to get rid of that last 5%
