Is the CO Expansion Mounting Card1100023 needed on a system that is currently 8x8 but going to 8x16?

I installed a system that's 8 x 8 with the CO Expansion card, but the customer wants more extensions. I ordered the 080E card and need to install it on their system quickly, so they are not down long. Will I have to remove that CO expansion card or will the new digital card reside next to the CO card or the next expansion slot?

It should mount on top and be automatically recognized when you power back up. I am assuming this is a SL1100 system. I suggest you search for and download a hardware manual for reference. They are free downloads, try
