I am using Ethereal to capture packets on my computer; does anyone know what protocol I would be looking for if I wanted to know if some one is accessing my computer via UNIX, putty, or any other UNIX base utilities?

Thanks

If someone is spying on your PC, there will be hundreds of packets addressed to and from your PC to the other PC's IP over the span of a few minutes. BTW: if you are auditing, somone using DOS commands on their PC will still get audited on yours if they access files.

Start, Help. You'll be surprised what's there. A+/MCP/MCSE/MCDBA

just monitor the performance. Choose server and limit only to 1 connection. When someone connect to your pc you will know it. You have to setup the alert to send you network message or create batch file to send you an email
