I need to choose a method for bringing up the DSL or Analog modem dial backup (for a frame relay network), but I don't know which is better; dialer watch, or floating static routes. Any help is appreciated.

Depends on the situation really. I've used and continue to use both albeit I use dialer watch a lot more than anything else. Not to say the other approaches are useless. For example, if you need superfast convergence in the event of failure, nothing converges quicker than a floating static!

There's a nice URL below that highlights ads and disads for each type of implementation.

Dialer watch proved alot less problematic in some of the networks I had. My floating statics seemed like they were trigged by strange events. Dialer watch cleaned up those issues.
