Hi all,

I have been doing some digging around but all links lead to a dead end.
I "believe" Outlook 2k3 is smart enough to do this but I can't seem to find out how.
Ok.. here it goes...
Can I make the default view setting on all my outlook folders to sort by Received date?
I know each folder can have its own individual view i.e. Inbox sorted by "From", Sent Items sorteed by "Subject" etc.
But is there a way I can change all the folders to sort by any particular view I wish?

This should do it....

First setup one folder (e.g. your INBOX) to display messages in your preferred format then

Select View - Arrange By - Current View - Define Views from the menu bar.

Highlight 'Current view settings' in the table, and click the 'Copy' button.
Type in a name (e.g. Default View), select the option 'All Mail and Post folders' and then click OK
Highlight 'Default View' in the table, and click on the 'Apply View' button

Click Close to finish

Your folders should now all be displayed in the same format.

Hope this is what you are looking for.

In Outlook 2007, it's View->Current View->Define Views

Once you give it a name and click OK, you then have the Customize View box. Click Ok, THEN click Apply View.
