Is osCommerce easy to learn and use as Website designing tool?

Hi All,

I want to create a Website for the company i work for which involves creating shopping cart and accepting payment using Paypal.

I have been recommended osCommerce tools to design and implement the website. I would like to know how easy it is to go ahead and create a site using this tool?

Or is there an alternative that could be easier for the same requirements?

Just to let you know that i have created a basic website using dreamweaver and have been hosting it for a while. But i am not a programmer/web developer.

Hi,

Did you choose PayPal as a method of payment because it seemed simple and easy?? if yes, highly recommed you read teh small print about the fees,... I found it to be expensive and they are not readily willing to stand behind their guarantee.. you might want to consider shooping around for a gateway source to process your payments that is more secure and friendly..;-)

Hi JeanMC, yes, i have choosen PayPal just because it seems easy to setup and setup the business account.

Could you please recommend me a gateway source to process the payment more securly and friendly.

I am very new to this so would appriciate your advise.

Also is osCommerce good enough to meet my requirments?
