I'm running Exchange 5.5 and I think it's the enterprise edition because it has an unlimited database size however I'm running it on Windows NT 4.0 standard server not the enterprise server. I've read that in order to run Exchange enterprise I need to run it on NT enterprise server. Is this so? I need to know because my priv.edb has reached 14GB and I need to know if there will be problems the closer it approaches 16GB without the enterprise version of NT.

No, you don't have to run Win NT Enterprise for running Exchange Enterprise. 100% sure of it.

ok, Thanks so much. . Do you know what the benifit is for running it under Enterprise? Is there anything that I wouldn't be able to do with it if I run it under the standard edition?

Only real advantage of NT 4 Enterprise is that it will run on a server with more than 4 processors and also contains Microsoft Cluster Server. Also has some additional tuning options.
