I need to run a program that I had no trouble running with XP Pro.
Vista shows a panel that says it is not a valid Win32 appliation.
Is there some setting I can change to encourage it to run my program?

I read about this 'compatibility mode' in another post.
How does it work - what specifically do I have to do to 'run the application in compatibility mode'?

Ok - I use explorer to locate the exe.
Then properties, then compatibility, then tried
various 'modes' ... & it still doesn't work.
I have asked the retailer if I can upgrade back to XP Pro
but apparently even this can't be done because there are then hardware incompatibilities.
People should have been warned of this!!!
