Is my accounting server secure?

I want to know if someone in our windows 2000/nt network is able to get into our accounting server. I tried to gain access with and without a password from another machine in the office and i was unsuccesful. However i did print something on there printer. Anyways all i tried was when i was in network places i typed

\\the accounting servers name\c$
It didnt work. Asked for password and i supplied the correct one and it said my credentials conflict with another credential. Something like that anyways.

What tools are out there that may let me into the server? Im just trying to see how hard it would be for someone to break in from within the office. Were all on a network with a domain name. Any questions for me just ask.
