I am trying to configure ISA to log to a SQL database but is failing. I have created a DB on my SQL2000 server, and used the SQL Script provided to create the WebProxy Table. I have created a Domain Admin user in my AD and made this the owner of the DB. I then create the DSN on the ISA server, configure the Logs in ISA and when I attempt to start MS Web Proxy service it error swith error code 2147024890.

Any ideas?

TIA.

Instead of using a domain account, try using a sql account. I used a sql security account, and the logging worked fine on my systems.

I have now configured it to use a SQL account, all the services now start, however I now get a Microsoft Web Proxy error, Event ID 6:-

The Microsoft Web Proxy failed to log information to ODBC Data Source WEBProxy, Table: WebProxyLog, under User Name [proxy]. The ODBC Error description is: [State=S0002][Error=208][Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Invalid object name 'WebProxyLog'. [State=37000][Error=8180][Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Statement(s) could not be prepared. . For more information about this event, see ISA Server Help.

I've looked at the article and configured all from scratch again and it's now working, however what I did do this time which is different from before, on my AD account I gave it a complex password to bring it in line with my Default Domain Policy, it seems that I was using a non-complex one and it was probably failing on that.

Thanks for your help and pointing me to great site.
