Hi,

I consider myself as a self taught intermediate Linux user. I was wondering, is it difficult to setup a Linux cluster? If it isn't, which is the best Linux cluster to study?

Thanks for any advice

Trekkie

Trekkie,

If you have a thousand dollars to spent, you can try redhat advanced server. Else, take a look at this package: from what I understand, this is what redhat AS is running on.

Give us feedback if you try this

Good luck

Thanks webfuture,

I think I'll wait until my company saves up the enough money for RH AS.

Trekkie.

Well, I do have RH AD SERVER installed here, but my question still your question...
Is it hard to set up cluster with linux?
Where should I look for it?

I have setup some clusters between sun's servers with veritas software solutions. From what I remember, it was not that hard, just takes a long time to complete and need patience and a lot of reading. So I assume this is going to be simillar with RH AS and maybe a little bit more trouble with the open source solution.

Good luck to both of you,
