Is korn shell available for Red Hat linux. Maybe could just put a logical link to bash shell? I did a search on Red Hat for 'ksh rpm' and found only references to bash and zsh. Then searched all releases and still came up with only references to zsh and bash.

If I have to use bash, what would differences be?

I think bash would be the preferred choice, it has (AFAIK) more korn-type functionality than pdksh.
Out of interest, why do you need the korn shell ? Just curious.

red had should already come with it. Try this:

rpm -q pdksh

By default the pdksh didn't install on RH linux.

Just one more difference I guess twix RH 9 and fedora. :)

this is what we use on our RH7.3

unify> rpm -q pdksh
pdksh-5.2.14-16
unify>

try RH 6.2 and RH 9
pdksh will not install it by default...:)
Maybe install everything on RH.
And install Arcserve backup version 7 on linux will need pdksh.
