Is it possible to use the Query Designer aspart of an app?

Hi,

Does anyone know if it's possible to use the VFP Query Designer within an app, i.e. call it like a form. Am I asking too much ? I don't want to reinvent the wheel by having to write a query tool for my end users.

No, the Query designer is a tool restricted to development only. Take a look a the help file at "Restricted Visual FoxPro Features".

There are a few third-party query designers available that you might consider. I think Foxfire and Stonefield both have offerings (but I don't know anything about them).

FWIW, we're using an older version of Stonefield's SFQuery in our app and our users love it.

The version we're using is discontinued, but they've recently released a newer hybrid IIRC.
