Is it possible to use spot color in gradient fill?

Just click on your Pantone swatch and the half of the Gradient which is selected will fill with the Pantone colour....Just don't mix Pantone with CMYK or you may run into trouble further down the line

Another tip with creating Spot color Gradients - - if your blending from 100% PMS to 0% PMS - -always put a 0% of the PMS and not white this may cause some problems on rips that your printer may use -- and making the gradient 4/c instead of PMS.
