Is it possible to put new variables in a report

I need to put variables in a report.

eg:

variable: [field1]+[field2]
or
([field1]+[field2]) AS [variable]

Does anyone know if this kind of thing is possible. As I am totalling totals, I cannot put the formula's in the query.

Are you looking to perform a calculation in a text box? Wouldn't DLookup work for you there?

You can set any expressions as controlsource including the
columns

You can define and use varaibales in reports
as in forms
