I'm creating a database to share over a network and for obvious reasons I've split the database but I would like to be able to 'hard-code' the UNC as the path for the Back End server because I'm out of here in a month (university placement) and no-one else here is familiar with Access at all.

On a related note is it possible to migrate user/group preferences automatically only at the moment the local settings keep overwriting the groups I've set up (or they just don't show up on the client side).

In thanks for any help you can offer

Yes, when you link the table go to the network neighborhood instead of the drive letter and find your db to link to. You can verify that it is using UNC by going into the table's design view, clicking properties and looking at the entry in DSN.
