Hi there,

I have two tables .dbf (xbase). One table is for the future days and one is for the past days. All the fields in the table for the past are included in the fields of the future. In the future table there are some fiels which are not included the past table. The names of some common fields are different.

I am trying to make a report to include past and future days so as to have a summary of the fields by month.

Is there anyway to link the table in order to have the above??

Thank you in advance..

Joseph

Any chance you are using Goldmine?

You can do this if you meet these 3 criteria:

You are connecting directly (not via ODBC)
You are NOT using CR version 9
You have a 3rd table that is a "one to many" link to both.
(in Goldmine this would be contacts)

If you were to link from the 3rd table to both of the original tables, Crystal has a link option called "All of one, all of the other" that will append the tables. You would have to write some formulas to get the common fields to show up in a single column. Ken Hamady, On-site Custom Crystal Reports Training & Consulting
