Is it possible to install SUS on 2000 server...?

Is it possible to install SUS on a Windows 2000 server?

I know i have to have IIS 5.5 or higher running ,but i can't seem to find the install file for IIS 6 or know if it's possible to install on windows 2000 server. I beleive you might only beable to run it on 2003.

All i can seems to find is SUS service pack 1 install, which requires IIS 5.5.

I had it installed on a Windows 2000 server in my last place. So, yes, it is possible to have it running on Win2K.

SUS 1.0 with SP1 has the following minimum hardware requirements:

Pentium III 700 MHz or higher processor

512 megabytes (MB) of RAM

6 gigabytes (GB) of available hard disk space

So it's possible ,but do you know where to find the download for IIS 5.5 or higher to install on server 2000..?

Or do i need to get an earlier version of the SUS install.

and the servers hardware is well above the requirements for sus service pack 1 to be installed.

Where did you get the info saying that IIS 5.5 is required?

I didn't think there was a 5.5

IIS 6 is Windows 2003 only.

Glen isn't that just the resource kit for IIS6?

SUS SP1 is actually SUS itself with SP1 added on. Download from here:
