Hello, is it possible to initialize a BCM50 R6.0 voice mailbox remotely? A stubborn employee in another city either can't or won't open his mailbox and I'd like to open it for him. I've read the Callpilot Reference Guide and the Administration Guide to no avail. I have Element Manager access to the distant system.

Thanks in advance :)

You need to enable "Enable External Initialization" in System Properties of Callpilot, but not a good idea if any mailboxes are allowed External Transfer or Off Prem Notify.

Thank you sir.

Once I enable external initialization, what is the procedure to open the mailbox?

I don't see anything about it in the technical guides.

Thank you again sir. I'll give it a whirl.

Thank you again curlycord.

I followed your instructions and it worked nicely.

I went back into Element Manager after opening the remote mailbox and disabled external initialization.

Your vast knowledge of Nortel systems is greatly appreciated.
